Adventures of an Island Mom

Faithful Friday May 15, 2009

Ok, so I might be going too far with these days of the week names, ie:  Tip Tuesday, and Faithful Friday, but I just can’t seem to help myself!!  🙂  If my tagline is going to be ” A journey of living life fully, frugally and faithfully”, then it seems fitting!  I can’t guarantee I will be able to keep this up, but I’m going to try!

Today, I’ve been listening to Casting Crown’s “Praise You in this Storm” quite a bit.  Such an amazing song by such an amazing group.  I’ve been thinking a lot about all the “storms” we go through in life, whether they be big or small, and I just felt like this song is such an encouragement and a blessing.  We all struggle on a day-to-day basis;  Maybe you’re having a really bad day getting the kids to obey, maybe you’re dealing with chronic pain, maybe it’s a terrible situation in the workplace, or maybe it’s your financial situation.   Whatever it might be, remember that God has never left your side.

I encourage you to watch this video and really listen to the words.  I hope it blesses you as much as it has blessed me.

“I’ll praise You in this storm, and I will lift my hands, for You are who You are, no matter where I am.  And every tear I’ve cried You hold in your hand;  You’ve never left my side, and though my heart is torn….I will praise you in this storm.”

Sarah, yes it did bless me!!! I’ve never heard it before, and I actually could understand the words!! (In some songs I can’t!). Thanks for having this song on your blog.
